How Dermal Fillers Make You Look Younger

How Dermal Fillers Make You Look Younger

Aging is inevitable, but you may struggle with the process if your appearance no longer reflects your youthful spirit. But with options like dermal fillers, you can fight the visible effects of the aging process.

At Sargon Dental, we strive to provide services that keep you looking and feeling your best. Dr. Sargon Lazarof and our talented team of cosmetic dentists and aesthetic experts do it all, from teeth whitening to full mouth reconstruction to wrinkle reduction

We use dermal fillers to fill in deep lines and wrinkles, restore lost volume, and plump up lips. So, how do dermal fillers make you look younger? Let’s explore.

Aging and your look

The structure of your skin changes as you get older, one of the main factors leading to visible lines, wrinkles, and creases.

First, your skin thins and loses its strength and elasticity due to a decrease in the production of the structural proteins collagen and elastin. This makes your skin more fragile. Oil production also slows down, causing drier skin that seems to accentuate those lines and wrinkles.

The layer of fat under your skin also diminishes with age, causing the skin to loosen and sag.

Thinner skin and less fat mean less volume. Lines, wrinkles, creases, and sagging develop because of volume loss.

Restoring volume with dermal fillers

Dermal fillers are cosmetic injections that restore volume under your skin to rejuvenate your look. To lift saggy, loose skin, we use Radiesse®.

Radiesse is a calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) dermal filler. CaHA is a substance naturally found in your body, primarily in your bones. This type of filler is thicker than other types of dermal fillers and keeps you looking younger for up to 12 months.

Plus, the calcium hydroxylapatite in Radiesse stimulates collagen production, improving the natural strength and look of your skin for those long-lasting results.

In addition to lifting and tightening, we use Radiesse to fill in the deep lines and creases that run from the corners of your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds), the lines that run from the corners of your mouth to your chin (marionette lines), and forehead wrinkles.

Plumping up thin lips

When you think about ways to make yourself look younger, you may focus on the facial lines and wrinkles, but what about your lips? Aging causes lips to shrink and thin and widen the distance between the corners of your lips, making them disappear.

We use dermal fillers for lip augmentation, restoring volume, size, and shape to give you more youthful, pouty, full lips.

Immediate results, little downtime

Dermal fillers are a popular nonsurgical cosmetic treatment. Why? Because results are immediate and treatment requires little to no downtime.

Injections take less than an hour and you can see improvements right away. We do recommend you refrain from strenuous aerobic activity for a day or two to reduce risk of bruising.

Dermal fillers make you look younger by restoring volume loss, lifting sagging skin, and filling in lines and wrinkles. Are you ready to get started? Call one of our three locations, in Encino and West Hollywood, California, and Pleasant Grove, Utah, or schedule your appointment online.
